The development projects carried out by Aquilón are aimed at promoting improvements in animal production and, above all, at decreasing the use of antibiotics.
In livestock production, antibiotics are used on a massive scale, which has recently led to changes in regulations that define and in certain cases even restrict their use, for example as growth promoters.
The most serious consequence resulting from the misuse of these drugs is the emergence of resistance in bacteria that cause the diseases, which in the near future will make it difficult to treat many of them.
